Exploring Gurumayi’s Message for 2016 through Scriptural Study

The eleventh-century sage Kṣemarāja wrote this invocation for his text, the Pratyabhijñā-hṛdayam. At the beginning of each study session, recite the Maṅgalam to invoke Śrī Guru’s grace to support your efforts in understanding and assimilating the sacred teachings of the Pratyabhijñā-hṛdayam.

Last weekend, I was at a square and round dance festival with my husband. We danced for two days, and afterwards, I found myself joyfully floating down a sidewalk. I felt connected to the bliss that permeates everything—I am that; it is me; and all of this is bliss that goes on infinitely dancing!

Since that experience, I found this invocation, calling forth "bliss and Consciousness” to be alive. I will carry this feeling into my study!

I’m immensely grateful for this opportunity to study the “Heart of Recognition” in the light of Gurumayi’s Message for 2016. To me, this is an act of love, a precious gift, and something to embrace fully!

While reading the invocation, both in Sanskrit and in English, I was moved and I felt so much power. I am very happy.

Thank you Gurumayi, with all my heart!
